A Susan Hyatt Retreat

Denmark & Norway

September 3- 10, 2027

Hygge & Awe. Denmark & Norway Retreat.

A Luxury Coaching Adventure Through Copenhagen and the Norwegian Fjords

Denmark & Norway
September 3- 10, 2027

Two countries + Two things every woman I know is starving for…

Permission to rest without earning it. And proof that your body can still do wild and glorious things.

Denmark gives you the first. Norway gives you the second. We are going to revel in both.

The Danes keep winning every happiness ranking on earth, and they are not doing it with green juice or a productive morning routine.

They light candles at lunch on a Tuesday. They put work down when the day ends. They treat pleasure as a birthright instead of a bonus.

I have taught their word for it, hygge (pronounced hoo-gah), for over a decade and watched women change how they relax, curate their spaces and how much joy they believe they are allowed to have.

The very first thing I ever wrote about Denmark, I typed myself a note in the margin. MUST VISIT.

It took me this long and I am not going alone.

What to Expect

You can expect:

Five star everything. Beautiful accommodations and flawless logistics you never have to think about.

Copenhagen at its coziest. Golden light, harbor saunas, canal boats, and cinnamon buns eaten slowly and without guilt.

An overnight crossing by sea. Your own cabin, dinner as the Danish coast slips away, and sunrise over Norway.

One of the great train journeys in Europe. Up over the mountains and down through the Romsdalen valley, with nothing to do but look.

Norwegian adventure that does not require you to be an athlete. Fjord kayaks, sea eagles, switchback mountain roads, and a wood fired sauna with cold water waiting underneath it.

Coaching that matches the country. Bold, expansive, and slightly wilder than you were expecting.

Women so fabulous they become your new besties.

About the Stay

We begin in the heart of Copenhagen, in a hotel with the kind of quiet luxury the Danes have perfected. Bicycles at the door. The harbor a few minutes away. The whole city walkable.

Then we sail to Norway overnight, everyone in a private cabin, and take the train into the mountains.

Our home for the second half is a lodge on the edge of a fjord in the Sunnmøre Alps. Wool blankets and firelight. A spa. Deep green water outside the window and mountains standing straight up out of it. You unpack once and stay five nights.

Here you will find...

Your own bedroom with a private bathroom, every single night of the trip.

Nordic design that makes ordinary moments feel like an event, which is the entire philosophy we came to study.

A sauna at the water's edge and a fjord cold enough to make you scream and then immediately want to do it again.

DAY 1

ARRIVAL IN COPENHAGEN

Land, settle in, and meet your retreat sisters over a welcome dinner in one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe. We start slowly, because that is the whole point of Denmark.

Retreat Schedule

DAY 2

THE ART OF HYGGE

Bicycles and canals. The harbor sauna and the ladder into the sea. Dragør in the afternoon. Coaching sessions on pleasure, rest, and the permission you have been withholding from yourself. Dinners that run four hours because nobody has anywhere else to be.

DAY 3

THE CROSSING

We sail from Copenhagen to Oslo overnight. Dinner as the coast goes gold behind us. Your own cabin. Coffee on deck as Norway comes up over the bow.

DAY 4

INTO THE MOUNTAINS

A night in Oslo, then one of Europe's most beautiful rail journeys up over the high country and down into fjord country.

DAY 5 & 6

THE WILD HALF

Fjord kayaks. Sea eagles. The road up Trollstigen. Ålesund's painted harbor. Sauna at the water's edge and a plunge into a cold fjord, every day, for anyone who wants it. Each evening we come home to a fire, a long table, and coaching that goes deeper than you expected.

DAY 7

RETURN HOME, DIFFERENT

You will fly home warmer and braver than you left, with a plan for keeping both.

"But I am not an adventurer. And I have never travelled alone."

Good. Neither had most of the women who have come with me.
Every hard thing on this trip is optional and every soft thing is real. Climb the mountain if you want the mountain. Stay by the fire with a book and a glass of wine while the rest of us climb, and know that you are spending the day exactly as a Norwegian would.

And the women who book solo are the ones who tend to leave with 8 new friends. That is not a sales line. It is just what keeps happening.
